AERO MEDICAL LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS

Robin Coss Aviation conducted the research, development and concept testing of a new patient litter, litter receiver, base unit and customised interiors for both fixed and rotor wing air ambulance aircraft.

Several RCA Aero Medical Life Support Systems are already successfully in service with the SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service, S.A. Military Health Services and other independent EMS operators in South Africa.

RCA is the first in Africa to manufacture approved Aero Medical Life Support Systems for the Agusta A109/A119, Eurocopter EC130 & B4 helicopters as well as systems for a range of fixed wing aircraft.

RCA is in a unique position to offer a cost effective, quality product of international standard to all aero-medical operators, emergency air rescue services and operators in the military environment.

RCA holds a SACAA Supplemental Type Certification (AO101457) for the Agusta Westland AW119 Advanced Life Support System.

The RCA Evolution II for fixed wing aircraft complies with the latest amendment of FAR Part 23, including static load tests to show compliance with emergency landing conditions.

The RCA Evolution II is a single unit attached to the aircraft floor via the

standard seat rail attachment points or via a universal loading plate.

The RCA Aero Medical Life Support System is designed for the Agusta Westland A109/A119 helicopter and is attached to the aircraft floor via the

existing seat attachment points.

RCA recently supplied the SA Military Health Services with six Evolution II Aero Medical Life Support Systems for use in a variety of SAAF fixed wing aircraft.
